Using web tools to create discussions is a great way to integrate technology in the classroom. Edmodo is a wonderful tool to have students discuss events, problem solving strategies, and check for their understanding of the lesson. Edmodo is a private and safe environment where classmates can have discussions, and expand on their learning. I plan to used this tool by sending discussion questions about Social Studies current events and get the students talking on how the changes are affecting our world.  I am happy to say that I am a 21st Century learner so I am familiar with most of the tools, Skype is one of my favorite tools to use not only can I communicate with family in the United States but world wide. The way I would love to incorporate Skype is by contacting a school in Central America and have students practice their Spanish in the Dual Language program by having common topic debates with students from other parts of the world.
